"Dave (of You Can Rock.co.uk) has always delivered quality music session to my students. We have a range of skills and abilities in the class yet the sessions were all pitched at appropriate levels for the students. Dave is a communicator and brings out the best in the students whilst offering hands on experience with musical instruments."

"Dave (of You Can Rock.co.uk) has enriched the lives of many of the young people who attend theTlg centres across the UK. Not only has he given them new skill that they never knewthey had, but through his band workshops we have seen young peoples lives transformed. Their aspirations have been raised. Through the accredited courses that “You Can Rock” deliver, doors of opportunity have opened.
Young people now have hope for the future."

"As Centre Manager for the South Leeds Youth Hub, I couldn’t endorse the skill, positive attitude and professionalism of You Can Rock staff more highly. We have industry standard music performance and recording facilities at the HUB including pro tools 9 and a C24 desk. The team have proved way more than commitment of delivering music and recording sessions using some of the most technical equipment currently available. The positive attitude and warm professional nature when working with young people have lead to organisations and young people requesting YCR staff for sessions in person. Highly recommended"

The music project that Dave is running at Grange technology college has engaged some of our most difficult to reach students. Not only are they learning a new skill when playing instruments, but they are encouraged to look for the positive in each other and work as a team. As a result, the students seem happier in school, and attendance has improved for one of our persistent non-attenders.

The project is truly accessible for students with a range of needs, from BESD to nurturing. It has brought together a group of students from year groups 7 to 10, who would never usually have the chance to work with one another, Staff members have visited the unit who have never had call to preciously, and have been impressed with the work that is going on. The students have made so much progress that we hope they will be able to perform as a band in public in the very near future.

Dave and Dan have a great manner with the students, and have immediately been able to to form positive relationships with students who do have a dis-trust of teachers and other people in authority. I would not hesitate to recommend Dave to work in other schools, and we hope he will be able to continue to wok at Grange in the future and reach more students.
